A very simple version of blackberry cobbler. MMMMMMM! We had wild blackberries growing at the back of our property this summer. My husband went out every day and picked them until we literally filled the freezer full. Now I finally have a recipe other than smoothies to use them all up.
1 stick butter melted in a bowl
In a separate bowl wisk together
1 cup sugar
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup milk
then wisk in the melted butter
pour batter into a well buttered dish. I used a pie plate.
Sprinkle 2 cups of blackberries over the top, fresh or frozen
Add 1/4 cup of sugar over the top
Place in 350 degree oven for 1 hr
Last 10 min. of cooking you can add an xtra tsp of sugar over the top if you want.
It smells yummy. Can't wait to try it!
Got it from: The Pioneer Woman Cooks! (http://thepioneerwomancooks.com/)
I like some of her recipes. She uses lots of pictures and a bit of dry humor. :)
