I was doing a craft faire on December 1st... I was really excited about it... have been making piles of soap for it... have stuff coming in for whipped shea..

and they canceled it because not enough people had signed up. I am heartbroken... and covered in soap.

****it

at least I can still sell stuff on etsy. Sold 3 bars to two different people yesterday... that's good.

argh.

Oh! I'm so sorry to hear that. Are there any others you could do?

Yeah..have an ask around, and look for another...there are SURE to be more, and I am sure you can squeeze into one SOMEwhere! Even closer to Christmas, even, so you would have more time to look.

Ugh that stinks. There used to be a site that listed craft fairs around the country. I can't remember what it was called, but I may have it in my favorites. I'll see if I can find it.

What do you have for soaps fs? Anything w/o patchouli? :)

I'm sorry about the craft fair being cancelled, and that's not a petty whine! Nothing wrong with being upset about putting a lot of time and effort into something and then not having the event. That sucks! :eyes:
I hope you are able to sell your soap on etsy!

thanks ladies :) Randah asked me about one in Portland... I thought about it, really, but my kids do not attend Waldorf Schools... I know Anna would thrive in it but we can't afford the schools and live too far away even if we could... though I suppose if we could, we would have two kids so I could get her there ;) LOL.. ANYWAYS. I thought about seeking out another craft show but I am all scared now ;) the first one wasn't that great. It was pretty much a bomb except for the fact that it was Free.

eh, I need to get out there, eh?

And Chelle, did you already order from the site or was it another Chelle? LOL.

I have several soaps without Patchouli, but not many ;) LOL. Patchouli is such a wonderful tool for b lending, and really doesn't smell like PATCHOULI when blended with other oils. Lemme think... I have:
Etsy :: Holiday Spice Shea Butter Vegan Soap with all pure essential oils (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7618013) Holiday Spice. Fabulous blend of fir, pine, orange and a teensy bit of cinnamon. This screams Christmas to me :) Good stuff :D

Etsy :: Peppermint Earth Cocoa and Shea butter Soap NAKED SOAP GREAT Choice for your Man (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7517879) Peppermint Earth. Its just peppermint and earthy because of the clay and herb colors ;)

Etsy :: Chamomile Clary Refresh Cold Process Shea and Cocoa Butter Vegan Soap (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7448646) a blend of chamomile, clary sage and lavender :) lovely!

Etsy :: Rosemary Mint Pure Cold Process Luxurious Shea and Cocoa Butter Soap (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7440335) Rosemary Mint-this one is pretty, too!

Etsy :: Luxurious Lavender ALL Pure essential oil shea and cocoa butter wonder soap (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7336627) and of course, Lavender :D

((hugs)) thanks for all your thoughts, ladies. I have a really big order from a far away friend that is going to help releive me of quite a bit of the stock and I hope the holidays at etsy will help with the rest ;)

If I don't get the guts to go seek out another faire ;)

I was invited to a home party while at the last craft faire... the whole idea of it creeped me out... so I passed. She also inviced everty other home party consultant there, too...and I was pretty certain that my goodies would not hold up to the sales sharks there... I am still not quite outgoing enough to stand up to the natural vs pharmeceutical options. I am trying ;) But I don't know if I could have handled some wierd random stranger's house filled with a bunch of people ...
