DH has applied for a job near Little Rock. That doesn't mean he'll get the job, but I was wondering what homeschooling was like in ARK. Are there any homeschool moms here from that area?

A friend of mine just moved back to Little Rock. At the very large church she attends it seems to her that almost all moms are homeschooling, at least the ones she has met.

Also, Cindy Rushton, (she is all over the web, just google) is in AK I believe. She might be a great resource for you to find out about the homeschool scene there.

I hear it is a wonderful place to live.

HSLDA | Home School Laws (http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?State=AR) That lists the laws for Arkansas. Not too bad compared to some states. Whenever dh looks at applying for a job out of state, I always check the homeschooling laws, even before we started hs'ing. LOL

Sorry about messing up the initials. I seem to only know the ones for states I've lived in.
I've only been to Little Rock once and it was a Sunday, so everything was closed.

I also have a friend who just moved to Little Rock. Her boys are going to a homeschool-school co-op type thing...I don't know what you call it, it's like a homeschooling academy where they go part time I believe.
