Joseph just finished Unit 3 of his Environment Concept....SOUND. His final project was to come up with his own musical instrument. He had to design it, plan it and make it.
He WANTED to make a steel drum. He googled that and found out that it takes a 10 year apprenticeship to learn how to make a steel drum. But, we did find instruction on how to make a Dudup (DUH-dup). So You Want To Make A Steel Drum? (http://www.toucans.net/Toc/makeYourOwn.html)

Joseph decided that he would make several of those and put them together to make a Joe-Dum.

We used it last year also (I didn't buy the full year, I bought a couple of concepts because he was balking at the stuff I had already bought).
