I found several patterns, and wonder if anyone has used them, loves them, hates them, etc? We have laminate floors, and they just get so yucky, but I'm going through too many swiffer pads.

I don't, but it looks like a good idea!

I am TOTALLY making one of these now! I can't believe I never thought of doing it; I use my Swiffer all. the. time. Even someone as crochet-challenged as me can manage a cloth of single crochet.

That is a great idea! I don't use a swiffer, but I use something similar that has washable pads. I have a microfiber pad and a dust pad (for the floors) and a looped washing pad (for tile) and I really like it!

I made the one from the tncrochetlady site. I do like using it - we have hardwood floors - but I'll admit I don't use the Swiffer much at all. Maybe once a month? Anyway, her pattern worked out well for me, and I just mist it with a Murphy's Oil/water dilution and go to town. I *love* that I can throw it in the wash with my cleaning rags too.
Gretchen, if you use that pattern - I remember thinking that my gauge was off. WW yarn with an F or G hook, but I think I had to add a row or two? I made it early last year and can't remember now. I think it could be adapted to knit too, it may work better (on the swiffer) if it were knitted rather than crochet, but I'm afraid to try that out :o
eta we don't have the wetjet, I have no idea if it would work but I'd imagine so - maybe use a cotton or "kitchen" yarn?
