A friend of mine is wanting to get her dh a nice camera for Christmas so I'm trying to do some research for her. She's not interested in the d80 since it cost so much more. I haven't seen a d50 irl and I'm thinking she would have to either spend a lot of money to get a new one or buy used. If she gets the d50, would she need to buy a flash?

d50 has an on camera flash.

i personally have the d50 and think it's a great camera....but i'd get a d40.
