Okay, again, I know, wrong forum. I can't get to any other forum, and most HP sites revel in black backgrounds and odd color type- hell on my machine.
So, I know people have been reading the last Harry Potter. I was hoping the NYT Book Review would be worthwhile and interesting. Instead it was a bone- headed political screeding. Christopher Hitchens tried to insult it by saying " This is no Phillip Pullman!" A great political one liner- " You're no John Kennedy" is a enormously positive literary compliment- 'You'r eno pallid, copying hack!"
Anybody game?
First off, are the Carrows a portrait of congenital syphilis? They are furry, with pointed teeth, and sloping, malformed bodies. They wheeze- malformed, and possibly chancrous innards- and they give off an air of sexualized, yet denatured, unhealthiness. Anybody? I'm not a nurse, but this body type shows up as the bad guy in a number of cheap thrillers.
Other than questions, mostly I'm sounding like a terrible groupie "We are not worthy! We are not worthy!"
