my washing machine drainhose somehow got detached from its hokey setup and flooded my basement.
That was FUN to clean up.

I am thinking/planning on just cutting a hole in the wall (just wood, no insulation or sheetrock) and having it set up to drain outside.

Has anyone done this with any sinks or washers, etc?

I am curious if there is a better less foamy detergent i could be using that will still clean our laundry.

I currently use Arm & Hammer liquid or powder.

I appreciate any advice!

the only advice i have is to check with the county laws and make sure you can do that, in our county and city its illegal to have greywater drains :( we are meeting with some city people to see if we can come to some guidelines for letting the townspeople use greywater :D

the detergent cant have phosphates in it and/or salt. i believe someone mention one of dr. bronners works well

i know a lot of austrailian sites have good info, seems they use that A LOT over there?
