w/ scout's birthday coming up i find myself having increased anxiety just remembering the details. i had a scheduled c/s (i had a uterine rupture after an unsuccessful vbac attempt w/ #2) so went into it feeling well prepared and calm. but...i hemorrhaged afterward, and on post op day 1 my incision split open. i have struggled with ppd (which i had with my other 2 babies as well) and still find myself having days where i struggle extensively. i've had several wicked cases of mastitis, which has seriously affected my milk supply. all in all, this has not been the "ideal" post birth experience. :eyes:

so i've been tapping on both scout and myself on these issues. (ever since my first babe and the ppd that ensued afterwards, i've always feared the emotional impact on my children from all the anxiety that they picked up from me). just throwing this out there, but does anyone know of a "healing crisis" of a sort with eft? i ask b/c when we first started tapping on this, i had few days of utter hell. tearful, anxious, and a lot of phantom pain in my abdomen. xcout was more irritable than usual, very clingy & crying a lot. after a few days, however, we started seeing improvement -- in both of us. now, several weeks later, we are like a whole new couplet. i'm finding peace in my circumstances and forgiving myself for what i could not/can not control, and my little scout is happier, less clingy, and actually seems to be more in tune with me. we are in such a good place right now.

i have so much more to say -- i want to tell you all about my 2nd ds and the work we're doing (awesome) and my ds 1 as well ---
gotta run now -- kids are up, but will come back and add more detail later. ;)

Jen, that is fabulous. As far as I have read/heard it is not often that you feel worse before feeling better, but it can happen. Usually EFT calms down any intensity you might have about an issue, and that is why you don't feel worse.
But, you know, a healing crisis...maybe! Or maybe there were other things that were going on that you shifted as well?

Can't wait to hear more.
I am so happy for you!
