My mom has 5-6 vintage pillowcases in her store that she just closed. They all have some kind of hand-embroidered or hand-sewn embellishment on them. Very pretty, but nothing drop-dead gorgeous. I was wondering what the going rate might be for something like this - we are starting to put these items up on ebay and such.

When I buy embroidered pillowcases on ebay I limit myself to $5 each. And I pass right by the auctions with crazy shipping.

That's about what I've seen them go for, on average. Sometimes a particularly fancy set goes for more. Individual pillowcases are usually priced a smidge lower than sets.

These are definitely not matched sets. She was asking $5 for each pillowcase in her store, which I thought was a bit high for the mamas that I think of who might buy them. I'll probably recommend to her that she sell them all together for a flat price - like $25 for 6 or something like that.
