Okay, so I think the idea behind the Fuzzi Bunz and the Bum Genius 2.0 One size is neat - pocket diapers which you can stuff with "whatever".

However, the whole "stay dry" aspect they have invented (the layer of polar fleece or microfleece or whatever against the baby's skin is the part I do NOT LIKE. :) I like cotton against a baby's skin or even hemp if it isn't too rough.

Now, I DO love the idea of stuffing the pocket diaper with a microfleece terry insert as I know those are SUPER trim and can hold like 15 oz. of liquid.

And, the fact that synthetic diapers dry super fast is great to me from an environmental/time saving standpoint.

However, I think I'd like to see a pocket diaper that has cotton against the baby's skin rather than the microfiber or polar fleece or whatever it is.

Does this exist at this time?

Is this clear as mud!? ;)

Could one of you invent one? I don't care if it has snaps or velcro as long as there are foldback tabs for laundry day.

If you got this far and aren't totally confused - thank you!

And, if you are game to try this, lmk. I am very game to have some of these diapers in a size large. :D

Mmm, you should email my mom

Her website is Blue Lake Diapers, Your Source for Very Baby AIOs (http://www.bluelakediapers.com)

I think she has something similar to that.

Just to let you know, "pocket diapers" are patented, so someone can't just go out and invent a new version without being sued ;)

Good point, thank you!

Your mom's site is great! :)

Actually, it doesn't even have to be a pocket diaper. The main thing is that maybe the AIO could have an absorbant (but trim and quick drying) microfleece terry soaker and maybe some type of a snap in (or preferrably) partially detached liner made of 100% cotton material.

I'm just pondering the whole "quick dry" but no synthetics directly against the skin kinda idea. Most people don't seem to mind the synthetics, so I realize there may be no market for what I am contemplating. LOL! :)

I detest spending 90 minutes to dry my diapers in the dryer on a rainy day and the whole day on a HOT day on the clotheslines.

My Bum Genius 2.0 was put out LATE in the afternoon 2 days ago and was still dry in 2 hours and the rest of my dipes, sadly were a soggy mess.

So, if someone already makes AIO, do you think they could get sued if they started using microterry for their soaker?

Again, something like this may already be out there in the WAHM world, I just may not know about it. :)

Its been a while since I diapered or had my diapering biz, but back then lots of diaper making mamas made thin dipes with a snap-in or attached soaker like you described.
I'm sure anyone who makes dipes now would be willing to do that for you if they don't already carry that type, kwim?

I was going to recommend the swaddlebees ones, my DD is very sensitive to poly so I have a couple of these and I love them :)

I made some myself for her with the pocket in front, which is OK under the pocket patent, with bamboo velour against the skin, now thats soft!

There are a lot of quick-dry AIOs out there. And lots of WAHMs who would gladly use the materials you prefer. :)

Hi, feel free to check my blog at frijashearth. blogspot.com for a pic and description of the diaper I just made. The next will not be waterproof, as I prefer to use wool. I doubt I'll ever sell these, feel free to take the design idea and run with it :) Hopefully the blog is descriptive enough, but if you have questions, lmk.
