Lorelei needed something silly to wear to the street fair we had here a couple of weeks back and I found these while cleaning off the camera so I thought I'd share een if you can't see the skirt all that well.

I'd just finished cutting squares for a pirate themed quilt square swap and had a bunch of random strips and bits left over so I did a really fast strip skirt. She wore it with a playsilk sash and her pirate hat I made her last summer. Here she is with her daddy at the fair.

My sister liked it so well that I used the rest of the leftover bits to make her 6 year old a similar one for a party her husband's work is having this Saturday. No picture of that one but I'm adding up points for my personal stash game for it :)

you are so creative with scraps/leftovers! but i know you bought all that other fabric at the hardware store - saving it up for something super-special? or does it just need to "cure" for a while? :D

Love it! The hat and the skirt are both so cool. Looks like she enjoyed wearing them!

I've been using it off and on. The brown in the quilt I just posted is from there as is the red sailors in the pirate squares. I used a bunch of the purples in my lotus skirt a month or so back. Most of it isn't all that exciting, just nice prints to play with. I also used several things for skirts for me but have yet to get pictures because I tried out the knit waistband and depending on where the baby has moved the fit is "interesting" so I' need to re-do them.
