More stuff for Lorelei's Fall/winter wardrobe. This is a vintage print of very silly toads sitting on orange and blue mushrooms. Between the bright pink gingham and nutty fungus I guess I'm the only one who could love it-- but I seriously do. :p I bought it for 50 cents at the thrift store (and endured a cringing sales girl who thought it was the most hideous thing she'd ever seen) here in town ages ago and have been hoarding it since.

I used the legs I cut off the overalls I used to make L's gnome outfit to make the bodice and then used a pair of Gandhi's jeans that had a large hole, patched it up and appliqued over the top, and made them into toddler so this outfit cost me almost nothing. Love it when that happens! The top is adapted from an Ottobre tunic pattern, but I made the skirt single layered, modified the sleeve to make it puffed and shortened it, left the elbow ruffle off and extended the bodice piece so that it didn't end until after the armsyche was finished and this (as is so often the case with me) it bears little resemblance to the original pattern.

That is so absolutely adorable! I always love looking at your creations. You should take L (in that outfit) back to the store where you bought the fabric and show the girl what you did with it. I bet she would be shocked.

And L is so cute! She looks so much like you!
