I couldn't get the image to transfer, so I had to freehand it. :o

And, while I'm posting pictures - I found this and loved it, but didn't want to spend $80 on it.

So I made this:

those look great! the embroidery turned out really nice! did you use a backstitch, or is it a stem stitch?

was it a transfer from sublimestitching? trying to troubleshoot why it woudlnt transfer

backstitch - is it that bad? :D Just teasin' :)

Oh - I tried to use the carbon paper and a stylus (?sp) to transfer the image because I haven't unpacked my iron yet and I'm not sure which bin it's in. :D
I think it was just too smooshy a fabric to get the image transfered onto properly with that method.

Oh, who knows LOL
I really almost gave up and then thought I'd just finish it and move on. I'm glad I did or I wouldn't have come back to it. But, I see room for improvement and now I want to go and dig out my iron. I also bought a mark-b-gone pen in case I wanted to do go that route :)

Thanks for schoolin' me ;)

yeah you have to put some wood or a book inside the shirt, also using the stabilizer helpes get the design on there (but then again you need an iron for the stabilizer), it can be a pitb on knits (one reason most people dont hand-embroider on knits and stick to wovens). i think you did really well!

oh and plmk if you dont want the carbon dressmakers transfer paper :D

I LOVE that ship!!

I have always been confused about it, but Daniel doesn't like pirate stuff.... oh well... I can admire it from afar ;)

And graet goign with the sign ;) its amazing how much money you can save doing it yourself... but try not to fall into the "I saved $74 doing it myself so now I can buy $74 worth of craft supplies" trap ;) LOL... dont ask me how I know...
