if you like your stuff - don't let robin/smartypants in! robin came to visit and she really kickstarted my decluttering efforts...just out of shelby's room we (SHE) got 3 black lawn/garden trashbags full...since then, i pulled out two more (from the closet that we didn't touch that day) and i also did the boys room after she left which yielded 2 more bags :drop:
i also pulled out my packnplay and mac duo to sell as well.
about half the stuff i'm sending with MIL to donate next week, but the other half i'm going to try selling first. either way, i'm giddy and totally on board with decluttering...i want to do more, but can't until i get this stuff out of my house lol...
eta: btw robin, i'm jk! :muah:

Great work!! Sounds like a day with me. :p I have done this for a few people this year. lol...
I read once that if you really want to get rid of stuff, what you really need to do is invite a friend. They are impartial and can be brutal, but when you are done, it feels SO good.

I've tried doing this with my mom over. She's too sentimental tho..lol. She's always asking if I'm SURE I want to get rid of something that she's more attached to than I am...lol.
I really have to get back to doing this. I havent the last few weeks.
I have a donation truck coming by on the 27th tho, so that's motivating!
Good for you on your lots of bags going out!

yes, I am brutal. I would hold a toy up and say "what is this mom?" and she would tell me it was the brush of the pony or whatever. I would asked if she played with it and when she said "no" I put it in the bag.
shelby was *totally* on board with this so I think it was all Heather's fault! :p
Don't forget Heather, I told her she had to get rid of one dollhouse before school starts! :)
