Hi starkisses! :) You're in Richmond? That's not far from Fred, is it? We drove down there with a friend about a month ago to check out the children's museum (and if my 3 year old had her way, we'd STILL be there!) and I don't recall the drive being more than 45 minutes. Is there a good parenting "scene" (hehe) there?

Ah, you were practically my neighbor then! :) We moved here about a year ago from CA. I go down to Fredericksburg about once a month or so--it's the closest Krispy Kreme!
Oh wow, yes! And I thought I knew every like-minded mama in a 30 mile radius! :D Do I know you? ;)
My DH & I used to drive down to Krispy Kreme at the wee hours of the morning in our pre-baby days. There's also one in Charlottesville. ;)

I really think this fall we should try to arrange a VA or somewhat regional mama get together :)
Delia and I would probably carpool since we are only 5miles from eachother
Im thinking fall because then it isnt all hot and sticky out :D

oops didn't see your response before I threw my idea of a mama/kid get together out there lol
IM not really familiar much with the area yet - been in Richmond for almost 2years come Oct. and lived previously up in Luray for 4years.
Delia will have to pipe in because she knows the area better ;) and I hear ya on the childrens museum. Delia and I went with our kiddos and they had a blast ...
I really liked the free zoo at uh ....... drawing a blank lol Delia what was that place called now?? That could be a great get together spot, walk the trail and see animals, and then sit down and have a picnic lunch
I cant think of the name of the "famous" place LOL
Not much help am I ?
but no you aren't far at all from us here in Richmond, as I said Delia is only 5miles from me and we try to get together every few weeks - it'd probably be more if I wasn't stuck at home without a vehicle though!

Starkisses, I haven't been on in a bit and I thought I'd replied to this! Oops! I'm ALWAYS excited to meet new mamas! I've meet a few like minded people in Fredericksburg. Let me know when and where when the weather cools down! :)

I really do think we should do a local meet up :) so say in 2-3months when we arent outside complaining because of the heat and we can all enjoy the experience of whatever we are doing lol
I'll do some brainstorming with Delia she knows a lot of things to do around the area from my experience!
Whatever we all decide, it should be fun!!!

Arlington here. As of just one month ago. We're loving the great playgrounds, but still gulping at the sky-high prices for everything from eggs to houses. I would love to get to see some of you while we're here. :)

Okay so... I move around a lot!! You might see a post from in under OK, and TX. My ex husband lives in OK (my daughter is there often), I lived in Austin, TX for a while and plan to move back sometime... but for now, we are in DC.I would love a fall time "meet and greet". I am really needing some like minded company. Hell, even anyone over the age of three (except DH)!! lol

Hi! I live just outside of Manassas--in Bristow.
We use to live in Bristow! Braemar North Gate to be exact, over by Saybrook in the original town houses in Braemear ;) We moved about 6 years ago to Marshall, 20 min. further west on 66 :)
