I've never done a quilt square swap before, so forgive me if the answer to this question seems obvious...

If you sign up for more than one slot, does that mean you make a different stlye block for each slot? So if I sign up for two slots, then I make two different blocks x 30 , for a total of 60 blocks (2 different designs)?

Yes that's right!

are we doing quilt blocks or just squares?
If it is quilt blocks I need to back out, I don't have time to do blocks right now.

Oh no! I already cut out all the fabric to piece 30 blocks, and I made up six of the blocks today. I thought this was an exchange of pieced blocks. I'm sorry! Newbie mistake. I need to back out then since I already cut up my green fabrics.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding! Maybe you could hold on to your quilt blocks and we could do a block swap in the future.

It's all good. I think I'll sew them together and make a wall hanging. As a newbie to quilting, I need the practice. I have been working on a quilt for my dh to take to Iraq when he deploys, and the piecing is going fine but I'm nervous about the quilting and binding. It'll be good for me to do this shades of green wall hanging for practice.

I'll catch the next exchange, be it squares or blocks. :)

Would you be interested in a patriotic, red, white and blue quilt square swap?
I started a thread under sewing swaps but no interest yet.

One more question... How strict are we going to be on "green". Should I look for strictly green on green patterns, or can I pick something with mostly green??

I got my square a while ago... just been really busy. The fabrics are wonderful. I can't wait to start on my quilt. My daughters room in all lavender, so I want to do a green quilt for her bed. It's going to be fab!

Thanks everyone!
