We are going to be driving to a wedding this summer, we will have to stay in two hotels. The final hotel we had no problem booking a room that could fit all of us, my problem is finding a room on the road. We have 5 kids and two adults and I can't find any place. Our kids are from 8 to under a year. Any ideas?

Well, I have 5 kids aged 8-under a year too. Could you stay someplace with 2 double or queen beds and get a roll-away/cot and just squeeze in that way? Or maybe a place with a "suite"? We have not stayed in a hotel since our 5th was born, so I don't have any first hand experience yet.

I call Hoilday Inn and the c/s person was great! We are getting a room with 2 queen beds for under $120! The Fairmont person was wonderful, our room will have two queens and two twin, with a kitchen for $209 a night!

Wow, glad you found a place... we always have trouble finding reasonable rates (read: we are cheap LOL) for 7 people!! Sometimes, we cannot find a place that has suites and they want us to book 2 rooms.. NOT! We just camp out instead! But I understand why you have to though. Hope you have a GREAT time!

Holiday Inn at first wanted two rooms foor us, but in the end he totally understood why we need one.
I wanted to camp along the way, but David didn't want too because of the time we need to get there. We are driving from Ottawa Ontario to BC, and hoping to do it in 3 days. He wants a place where we walk in and there is a bed to sleep in, does want to get a tent up and everything else set up. We will being our tent with us, just in case.
