I am starting the four skirts that I need to make and they are fr four different girls...four different waist measurements and three of them live across the country.

How do I know what length elastic to cut? I know there is a percentage, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know what it is?

What siez do you need - I have been using the measurements from my KSFT book and it has worked great so far. I know for a 4T it is 18 1/2 inches. I can get you the others if you let me know what sizes you need.

Another option that my friend did when she sent me some skirts was to just leave the wasitband sewn but ready for me to add and size my own elastic and stich it shut.
