My mom has decided she would like to learn how to quilt, but she no longer has internet. So, while she is at my house learning, I can just watch and learn.
Thanks!

The Quilter's Cache - Marcia Hohn's free quilt patterns! (http://www.quilterscache.com/)
Quilting - Free Quilt Patterns - Learn How to Make a Quilt (http://quilting.about.com/)
And for inspiration
Quilter's News Network (http://www.quiltersnewsnetwork.com/)
And I can't say enough about the library. I believe the section she would want will be in the # 746
Good luck

If she gets really into it and wants a book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Quilting, by Laura Ehrlich, is surprisingly good. Thorough, basic, and well-illustrated. It has some full-size patterns in it, too, so she could get started.
I second the Quilter's Cache!

Below is a newer site that has some good tips for beginners.
All People quilt (http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/)
I also love Bonnie at Quiltville (www.quiltville.com) She has lots of patterns with great pictures.
