This is a quilters bundle that DD found Monday & begged for a Redondo skirt out of. It's also called the "break even skirt" because I'll be lucky to break even on points for purchasing the fabric to make this. But DD is worth it. I had hoped there was going to be more scrap (I really wanted the set to have a headband of course ) but alas.
The whole outfit. I still have a few pieces of fabric left for one or two more yo-yo's that I think I'll pop on a hair clip just for extra cuteness.

Front of the skirt. Bias taped hem with a zig zag since I like the way that looks & it's sure to catch both sides better than straight stitching. I did not top stitch the pieces in this skirt but I'm thinking for the next one I'm going to try. Maybe it'll look more professional or something with more stitching.

Don't mind the crazy model. I couldn't get her to hold still even when she was crammed all the way into the corner and had no places else to go! I wish I had her energy!

I just realized my photo's are a bit blurry. I'm trying to learn the features of my camera beyond "auto" and apparently those settings aren't so great for late night inside shooting. Live & learn.
Points
fabric purchased, 1 1/4 yards (-10)
sewn straight away (+5)
notions, elastic & bias tape (+2)
sns (+2)
Total: (-1)
**add in the points from the shirt (+6) and I earned a wopping +5 for the outfit. Next time DD has to wait till after Stash game for her "gotta have it" clothes!**
