hastings

Whoo-hoo, I finished. That's one very large load off. Not my ideal, but there is a quilt for every kid and they are meant to be utility quilts since my sis is decorating their bedrooms in the next few weeks anyway.

I was really thrilled with this one before it was tied. I had no "boy" fabric and my 6 year old nephew wanted dragons. I found several flame fabrics in my stash, used dragon batik squares as accents, and then spent 7 or so hours drawing and painting the dragon. The ties obscure him and I'm disappointed at the look. My mother decided to go ahead and put it on the frames and tie it while I went home for lunch and L's nap. She had it off the frames when I got back. You really can't complain when someone is helping with a project I suppose. Oh well, like I said, its a utility quilt.
+4 notions (paint for center, 8 batik squares, binding, yarn to tie)
+ 86 yardage (4 yards back, 4 yards front, 2 yards batting
+2 sns
= +92
subtotal = +204
