See, it was a brand new raised bed my dh made for me last year with all new soil, but no worms. I moved some worms from in the ornamental beds mid summer last year.

Went out to work the soil today and I have worms! Lots of them. Several in every shovel.

i just planted a ton of seeds for sprouting today. got me some more composted manure and some topsoil so i can build my beds this weekend (with kids/dh helping...)

i'm doing lasagna gardening (layered compost) and am hoping we can get some serious work activity ;) we've got tons of starbucks around so i'll be adding some coffee grounds to the mix, which supposedly attracts them.

And, the plan was to go to starbucks tomorrow for grounds as well.

That is awesome! I love those hard working little critters!

Every time I find one, I throw it in my garden. I now can dig up about 10 in every shovel full and Cyan yesterday found one that we measured was 5 inches long! :D *glee*
