decided on a quit date. Why is it so hard to tell my boss. I am literally queazy when I think about it. I know it would be a relief to have it out in the open. I feel like I am hiding something. I hate secrets. Last time I quit, he went through 7 secretaries in the 4 years I was home. UGH!

you likely know how unhappy he'll be and perhaps that he'll direct his unhappiness at you.... so sorry! Give notice and let it all slide off. best wishes, Cathy

I know how you feel. I always feel like that when I have to give notice. I've gotten better at it, though, because I've the multitude of jobs I've had, lol. Best to do it matter-of-fact, but with sympathy. Good luck! :)

See, this will only be the third time in my life, my second time with this boss. We are good friends. My family needs me.

I understand. I hate knowing that I'm going to quit and not having them know. It feels like lying, but I know that it could be worse to tell prematurely. And, I hate feeling as if I'm disappointing someone.

I think disappointing him is some of it. Also, I am terrified I won't make it as a WAHM and am scared of taking that plunge. It might be easier if I knew what tuition was going to be next year for the girls. $1000 a month scares me so much. We have not heard about scholarship yet. I am hoping for about $800 but . . .

I feel like that too... I hope your WAHM life will get you through.
