it's the normal hiring blues.... of the appointments I set to interview only some of them show up. Some who do show up have no intention of taking the job. Of the ones who do show up and want a job only some are appropriate. Of the ones who are the most appropriate there always seem to be vacation/pay issues.......

I need to have a trained replacement for our pregnant, relocating sitter by the end of March. I am not desperate yet, I keep trying to remind myself. I want to be picky. Picky is good. yet.... I JUST WANT TO HIRE SOMEONE NOW!!!!

sigh. end of complaint for the day. A fresh interview to look forward to tomorrow. Things might be great, right?

Hugs, hon, that sounds rough.

Why even show up if you have no intention of taking a job <headscratch>??? That just seems like a waste of your AND their time, yk?

Chin up, someone wonderful will come along!

Have you told everyone that you know that you are looking? I always find through word of mouth.

I 'think' we found a great sitter! She starts this wednesday so still a bit tentative about everything till it really happens.... but we all like her and she seems to like us. Thanks for the well wishes! This search was a nail biter.

oh, good luck!

The trying to find the best care for your children part of working is the hardest. Every time I think that we've got it and won't ever have to worry about it again, something else comes up.

crap - less than 12 hours till start time and she 'accepted another position.' GD! I think somehow I knew this was going to happen, never felt so tentative about a hire before. SIGH. Shist!

Got a new job offered post on craigslist already, will expand the search tomorrow morning. Tonight I think I'll just mope.
