my four year old who previously had no interest in letters or their sounds has learned a great deal from watching this DVD. He keeps siting letters and sounds and is excited about it. It's the only thing that has worked.
simple. thank God.

you know, it took me a long time to give in and buy the DVD because I wasn't really sure about the whole DVD for learning thing.
But geez, it makes it so easy!

Yup, it worked like a charm here. Sure beats spendng 50+ lessons in a phonics book to teach them one letter a day...

Yes, I finally caved and bought this along with the 4 other DVD and my kids love them. Even the 9yr old was watching it. DD1 ask to watch them and then goes around the house singing songs from it. I am truly amazed the way it captivates them.

It was $9 at Walmart in the Leap Frog toy section. We haven't been much into Leap Frog, but this works.

Amy, I got it through Netflix and dd4 LOVED it! I've added more into my queue to see how we like them. I do feel that Letter Factory is on the "to be purchased" list! :D

Well we've made a rule now that any tv watching by dd4&5 while dd2 is doing school work has to be educational. And we're not talking subtle educational like Clifford and Veggie Tales. We're talking it's obvious we're trying to teach letters, numbers, colors, etc type of videos. Though I did allow a Baby Einstein video today, but I knew dd2 wouldn't be distracted by that. Once she was done, we put on Veggie Tales. ;)

Sue, I've been thinking about that rule since you said that the other day. I like it, I might borrow it. That might solve a couple of our issues with J being to active and crazy while B is trying to work.

Yup, it worked a charm here too. We had been doing letter sounds for months, and between the DVD, the fridge thingie, and the Leapster game, he had them all down pat, and quickly! I was simultaneously relieved, and miffed

My mom bought the whole set for my kids, and man could I tell a huge difference. Even now when dd is having a little trouble with a phonics rule we can watch the pertinent dvd and it clicks into place for her. We also have Fridge Phonics and Word Whammer, which dd (4) and dd (19 months) love. I'll have to look into the Leapster for dd's birthday.

nor did the Fridge Phonics or the LeapPad but my son has a motor planning disorder and he is learning to speak. He likes to watch it though.
Sincerely,

DD at 3.5 loves the letterfactory. She now even writes several of the letters (encouraged by her older brother).
Glad to hear it worked.
