I want to plant some vegis this year but I don't even know where to start. Any good online resources out there? Or even tips and hints on what to plant when and where? Thanks so much!

Carla Emery's book (http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Country-Living-Fashioned-Recipe/dp/157061377X/sr=1-1/qid=1171640439/ref=sr_1_1/102-4715058-5980152?ie=UTF8&s=books)is a great resource, although it might be pretty overwhelming!
I have heard a lot of people like lasagna gardening or square foot gardening.
Our older gardener neighbor is the best resource!

start small! when i first started, i went way overboard, i ordered half the seeds in the catalog! i didnt even plant them all. until the next year :]
definately grow some herbs if you dont already! its great to have fresh parsley, chives, basil, thyme, oregano, mint, etc. and theyre easy, grow like weeds! they work great in containers too.
pick a few things to grow, and pay attention to where light is hitting your garden space so you can plan it out well.
i start my tomatos and chilis inside, most other things i put right in the ground.
hhehe the last thing ill add is that youll probably have too many zucchinis at the end of summer!
