Has anyone ever sewn slipcovers?
If so, what pattern did you use? Do you feel it is something that a beginner/intermediate sewer can do? Most seem to have piping contrast and I have never done piping on anything. I am feeling a bit intimidated by the project. :eyes:
We are adding a new family room onto our home that hopefully will be finished with in the next month and half. I have an extra sofa & love seat that I would like to cover and use in that room and figured it would be a lot cheaper than buying new furniture. I also would like to be able to coordinate the furniture with the window treatments, pillows and ect. This is a project I figured I can start so once the room is finished the minor things like decorating will go quickly.
Sorry for the rambling! Like I said I am intimidated by the thought of slip covers but really want to create a cozy, elegant room.
Thanks for any input.
