Jo was very kind and let me hunt through a large pile of fabric for whatever I wanted. My DD joined me in the hunt, and found some soft fuzzy stretchy green and red fabrics, and begged me to make a blanket from them. There wasn't enough for that, but there *was* enough for 2 pillowcases, if I patched them together somewhat. Since the red was a bit see-through, I lined that side with some old red flannel I recycled from one of my DS's old blankets. and you can't see it, but I did a fancy scallop stitch at the hem - red on the red side, green on the green side.
Here's the first pillowcase, with big kitty atop (I'm still piecing the 2nd pillowcase, which is a bit trickier):

This fabric is SPARKLY - I made the mistake of washing the pillowcase with our towels. Now all our towels sparkle, too. :D
