We lost one swapper. :(

Would anyone be put off if I extended the deadline on this? It would be great to have some more participants, if possible. Or am I wishing for the impossible?

I will take two spots instead of one, ok Margaret. I am sorry for being so unavailable. Asia is ill again and we are off to Ottawa in a few minutes. I'll be back Friday. Then I will read the guidelines and stuff. I am excited about this swap!!

I would love to join, but the fussy cutting is putting me off with this one, plus I don't have any dog themed fabric on hand. My mother is a quilter, so I've emailed her to ask if she has an appropriate fabric, but I'm not holding my breath

Oh my! I didn't mean the "fussy cutting" to put anyone off! All I meant was... if there's a design which is really BIG and each dog is 5 or 6" tall, for example, then it's kind of disappointing for a swapee to receive a piece of fabric with only the bottom half of a dog on it. Most of the designs I've seen, though, have smaller dogs... and as long as one or two of the dogs are in there, it doesn't really matter if a 3rd or 4th dog is only half there. Does that make more sense? Maybe I should show examples of what I mean?

I should have been more clear. I meant that *I* don't like to fussy cut. I totally understand why it's desirable in this situation...I wouldn't want half a dog either LOL

Hi Rebecka - I don't think it's too late, as long as the squares get in the mail by the 20th. :) Please read the following post and "sign" it. http://www.amitymama.com/vb/sewing-swaps/317767-swap-guidelines-please-read-before-participating-reply-signature.html

Thank you! Glad to have you joining the swap!

I didn't know if I needed to post the print I bought, or not. I thought maybe we wouldn't want 10 of the same print. Here is what I have ordered.
eQuilter Product Detail (http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=73142&sid=31U9Hz1jt0Iw8L5-45107112075.7e) I ordered 2 yards. This is my first quilt and I was not sure how many yards I would need. Hopefully, that will be enough.

RocketScientist
03-11-2007, 11:07 AM
That's a cute one, Rebecka! Two yards will be more than enough, in my experience. I usually get one or 1-1/4 yard for smaller prints, or two+ for larger ones if I need to fussy-cut. I don't think you'll need to fussy-cut for that one. :)
