if you were going to buy one, which version would you go with and why? I've got a bookstore gift card, and it's not carried by my public library..

1st one just because i like it :D it holds a special place in my heart (my mama got the newsletters before they were made into books, then when the books came out - well she gave it to me for my 1st marraige and then again for my 2nd (because my 1st husband pawned it - bastard).
i sit and look at the crate furniture we got off craigslist for $200 and can remember when i first saw the write up on it in the newsletters, what was that, 15 years ago? more?
man i love those newsletters.
now if i could get the growing without schooling compiled books (my mama got those newsletters too) i would have my sentimental stuff complete!

i got the paperback "complete tightwad gazette...all 3...from half.com for cheap.
I had all the books separately till I purchased the Complete TWG at the Goodwill. I love having them all in one book - makes using the index go faster if you need a review of a subject or a recipe.

Complete, because it has extra issues that weren't in the first 3 books, plus the success stories.

Yeah, and I think the complete one is the only one still in print, so it's available more easily. I don't like that it's paperback, because my copy is a disaster, but it's a fantastic resource. Anytime I have a spare five minutes I'll just read whatever few pages I open to and it totally keeps me motivated! LOL.
