I'm trying to find my sense of humor about this. But this little story seems to be the story of my life here.

We gave Gusty a dolly stroller for Christmas. Mil then gave Madison a dolly stroller too. Ok, miscommunication there. Not a real big deal.

Madison then had a sleep over at Nana's house this week. Nana is the same mil mentioned above. Anyway... I went to pick up Madison and there were 2 MORE dolly strollers waiting to go home.

What?

Apparently mil couldn't decide on a stroller (for christmas) so she had purchased 3 of them. Then decided she didn't feel like returning them and sent them home with Madison. lovely.

Oddly, I feel ahead of the game because I was able to graciously decline and leave w/o the aquarium and hermit crabs!!!

Constant purge mode. That's my life. :shake:

We must have the same MIL. Except w/mine it's yard sales and multiples because:

What if one breaks?
What if the kids fight over it?
What if ___________?

Thank goodness she only comes over once in a blue moon so she doesn't notice they aren't here anymore. We've successfully returned nearly everything to her house and she hasn't noticed. ROFL. That should give you an idea of how much junk she has at her house, she doesn't even notice that we've brought things back to her house.

Oh geez. Yeah.

Jen, I'm already plotting the return of said strollers this spring. If I stuff them in her garage, it could be years before she finds them. Truthfully, her house often inspires me to declutter. She has 3 rooms in the basement piled w/boxes. Teetering way overhead.

I've been working so hard at turning this house into a well-oiled machine, decluttering with ruthless abandon, and it just deflated me for a bit. I just don't want any more crap. :vent:

Oh boy, we have the only grandkids and I have found the only way to keep them over-buying is have more kids. Not that I recommend that as a method, exactly. LOL. I am quite sure dh hates clutter because of what he had to grow up with. We do have a house stroller and an outside stroller. But geesh the extra two I would just return to the store.
