lol... I figured I would clarify on the outside so no one thought I had a baby. No baby yet. Contractions about every 20 minutes or so, but I think I have a couple more days. Anyhooo... I went grocery shopping and topped off everything today. And the glory of my pantry is wonderful. I love that I was able to do this just before the birth so that we have tons of easy organic goodness for baby time. Yes, there is Coke, there are 100% juice things from the capri sun and there is also a box of Fruity Cheerios that Don brought home "cuz he thought I would like them". But the rest is organic goodness... I love it. It feels so good. And my diaper bag I ordered came today too... ok baby. Lets go. We are ready. :smooch:  :p

That's great! I am jealous. That's on the list for Sunday. I am making spaghetti sauce today, some for the freezer and some for two ziti casseroles I will freeze. Then 6 jars of sauce in the freezer, yeah! Curiosity is getting the better of me, what are those yummy looking jars with green lids on the top shelf? What kind of diaper bag did you get? I am shopping for one of those as well.

4 cartons of Vanilla Soy milk
3 cartons of Pacific organic red pepper and tomato soup
3 cartons of "" "" creamy tomato
at least 4 of each (all organic): black beans, kidney beans, thai coconut milk, chili bean mix, annies BernieO's (organic spaghettio's my children have yet to try), and garbanzo beans.
2 jars of Paul Newmans Organic Mariinara sauce
8 boxes of Bare Naked Organic instant Oatmeal (4 berry, 2 banana, and 2 peach/nut)
2 cartons of Capri Sun 100% juice
pickles I made earlier this year
a box of Organic poptart type things
gallon jar of lentils
1/2 gal of black eyed peas
2 jars of Organic strawberry jam

Bottom left of pic:
8 cans of Coke
a case of organic green tea peach mist soda ($3 so we decided to try it)
gallon of organic Brown Rice Vinigar
Not that ANYONE needed that much info on my panrty, but it is sitting here SO pretty so I decided I would take the time after driving for 3 hours (long story) to just sit and write the invintory down. lol...
Ok, Diaper bag:

This is what I got. It will work great all but one thing... the straps are both exactly the same length and stiff... so when one is sitting on your shoulder the other is falling off. I am hoping that will change, becuase it is a PITA... but it has one HUGE zipper pocket that will be perfect for "my part" of the bag, and then it has two smaller velcro pockets that will work for extra baby stuff. This is #3 for me... I didn't want a "diaper bag"... so I enjoy the look and feel of this one (not to mention color. :D) with out having to give up the convience of having the big pockets of a diaper bag.
Here is the web site. (http://www.crumplerbags.com/Cart/index.php?catId=6) They are sort of strange but their customer service is awesome! I wrote them becuase my bag was late, and I told them that I was planning on using it as a diaper bag, and I was due any day, and was hoping to have it before now so I could pack it up with all the baby stuff for our first trips out. Yeah... they overnighted it to me for free and then wrote me a note that said "Good luck with your new addition and congratulations! Here's your tracking #... -Adam"
Plus, the Crumpler guy is just super cute. ;)

Nice bag! I have been drooling over their laptop/camera combo bags. :D When I sell my first $1/word or up article, I think I'll treat myself. Er, assuming it's not 2007. ;)

Yep. I got some edamame, some teriaki bowls, and some organic bean and cheese burritos, along with things like juice and tater tots for nights when I have the baby sitter here. My fridge is full too. I have cheese to last at least two weeks, tortillas, and organic pears and apples (only $1.99 lb here right now!) too. I think I have plenty of ready to eat foods for the kids...
I have been trying to make lists for the people who will be staying here with me. Things like:
Cut up apple and peanut butter
creamy tomato soup and tiny shell pasta
crackers and string cheese
edemame cooked in salt water for 5 minutes
Apple sauce and gram crackers or granola bars
Stuff like that so the eating out thing doesn't get out of hand again. I know that when I was sick at the begining of this pregnancy (I was sick for a LONG time, like 20 wks or more) Don took them out SO much that we started to put eating out on credit. And that drove me CRAZY. So I am hoping that won't happen again.
Another thing I have done is take Alex's lunches and Cyan's snacks into my own hands. I bought tons of good snacky type stuff at Costco (100% fruit leathers, organic granola bars, CheeseIts, Fruit and Cereal bars, trail mix, etc) and I lined out 10 bags and then added snack sized bags of these things in them. On one set of 5 I wrote "Yogurt" and made sure they had a spoon (yes plastic, but left over from the kids bday party), granola, and more protien rich snacks (like mixed nuts). On the other set I wrote "Sandwich", and added more fruit and carb rich stuff (like the fruit leathers and the trail mix). He has LOVED this. So I am going to keep doing it. It should make everyones lives a lot easier after the baby, because I only have to make his lunches once a week that way (or less if I do two sets of 8 like I did last time), and he remembers and is easily able to get it ready by grabing a yogurt, or making a quick sandwich and dropping it in his back pack before the bus comes.
Anyway... I think food is covered. If I didn't have this terrible pinched nerve right now, my house would stay clean too. But alas... I have this pain and my house is a wreck. I keep wondering if I can get Don to clean it tonight, but he has been at his first day at academy (there is a story there (http://www.amitymama.com/vb/expecting-mamas/327481-pinched-nerve-5-hours-car-snow-storm-taking-stride.html)) and may not be up to it along with the snow storm he is going to have to drive home through.
But I feel ready enough. :)
