i used to come to this board a while ago (didn't post much). I just got a new (to me) machine and with all the money i spent i'd better get to using it. besides, my dd is in size 4/5 clothing (rtw) and the next size up is where the clothing gets too grown up looking for my taste. i really like to sew (not a seamstress or anything:lol: ) and i need to make the time to do it more often.

so i'd like to come here, share ideas and give support. :)

I am fairly new here too and unfortunately I don’t get to post as much as I’d like, but every time I do all the ladies are very nice and receptive.

I just look up sewing last April so I am no professional seamstress by any means. I just like sewing for my kids and just starting to sew some very basic stuff for myself.

The best thing about learning to sew clothes for our kids is that they don't notice the flaws! Well that & you can pick up fabric for an entire outfit in the remnants bin :lol:

Hey. You two sound like me! I just started sewing back in April too. I needed to make some capris for my daughter who's long legged and thin waisted. Now I'm sewing, nightgowns, pj tops and bottoms, slippers, shower curtains, placemats, bibs, diapers and covers, pillow cases, top sheets. Just about everything and anything I can sew for my home and family I want to sew. Nice to meet you all.
