My 4 month old ds has thrush and I'm pretty sure I have thrush now too. I picked up some acidophilus at the HFS but I would appreciate some advice on it's use. Right now I'm dipping a finger in it and letting ds suck it off, twice a day. Should I be taking it also? How? Internally or as a paste on my nipples? Also, I have a 30 month old nursling as well, should I be giving her the probiotics as well? How much for her?

Thanks in advance!

You want to treat both babies and yourself.Take the probiotics 3x day and give it to the kids as many times a day as well. Also Get a little GSE and take it 2x a day but not with your probiotics. You will want to add about 15 drops to OJ or lemon water to make it a little more palateable.Treatment will take up to a month to be sucessful and you will want to get ALL of the extra sugar out of your diet.
My simple quick cure was to go to the DR and get a prescription for diflucan. You will want two doses to start and you will take the first one day and the second the next.Continue with the probiotics and GSE.The diflucan will give Quick relif and the probiotics and GSE will prevent reoccurance. You can nurse with diflucan and you want to so that the baby will get it in thier systyme and get a good cure.
