Our attorney will be filing for adoption on December 10 and we are told that it might be finalized before the end of the month. <crossing my fingers>

How is Desmond doing? :)

We have an appointment with the attorney today at 1:30 pm CST to sign the paperwork necessary for filing. I'll find out then when he will actually get to file.

Amina, Desmond is doing pretty good (for a 5 year old who thinks he is the ruler of the world). He missed the cut-off for Kindergarten by 2 days, but it was probably good for him. He is in a very good preschool and is just now starting to read! He is playing basketball at the Y (now, that is hilarious...watching 4-5 year olds try to play a basketball game) and a very outgoing, charming, mischievous child. He still sees his biological mother (with us) and we will continue to allow it as long as she continues on a positive path.

Sounds like par for the course. With adoption, it seems like it's always hurry up and wait. I wish you patience on the journey :)
