Hello. I am looking for minimally processed wool yarn. Only natural colors. My daughter is extremely sensitive to chemicals.I have found and used Cascades Eco wool and like it but would like a more "straight from the farm" yarn. The eco wool is pretty but not real soft. I want soft. Any reccomendations? My daughter is going on a week long school trip in Febraury. She will be in the mountains and outside studying snow physics, elk, etc. She needs 12 pair of wool socks and can only wear them if I make them. I have 4 pairs to go plus a nice hat. I've discovered that tube socks work fine, though not as cool looking or sturdy as a nice reinforced heel : ) but I just do not have the time. They moved the trip up a whole month! I I need more yarn so any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Grainne

fiber festival of PA Endless Mountains - Sponsors (http://www.pafiberfestival.com/sponsors_2005.html) Maybe this will get you started to thinking about resources.
