It seems like by Sunday I am so far behind cleaning up after last week and getting ready for next that I spend the entire day trying to get everything done. Busy busy and end the day feeling like there is still so much to do. I always think I'll try to get to bed early but never do.

Yes and I was feeling sorry for myself because I had four days off and didn't get much accomplished at all!! We had a birthday party yesterday and then I had to cook a turkey because I got one from work and didn't have room in the freezer for it. House is still pretty trashed and I am back for a full week today.

Yes, totally. Sundays are my day to stay in and tame this beast of a household.
Yesterday I made it till noon before I came down with a raging stomach flu. So today I called in, feeling pretty crappy but hopefully I can knock out some dishes, etc.

Sundays are busy, but it's not cos of cleaning! I never do chores on the weekends.

We have church on Sundays, which is at least 2 hours. Then we visit with friends and family, there is always something going on.

I garden on Sundays, there is always something to do out there.

Oh yes! Although for me it's both weekends - trying to catch up with a running train :(

However for us here at my house, it depends on how Saturday was. If we have athletic events to attend, then everything gets pushed to Sunday.

If not, then I try to get it done on Saturday. However, what you said about planning on getting to bed early and just not getting there due to still trying to get things done around the house sounds exactly like how I feel much of the time!!

Laundry is my bane. Oh boy is it ever! And mopping.

It seems like I will work work work focusing on the laundry and I'll get it all caught up after a week of doing nothing but laundry in my free time. Then I'm so darned burned out on doing laundry that I get involved in other chores for a couple days....and then the laundry has grown again!

I was sick for the first time last week. (sick enough to miss work, I mean) Boy, did things ever pile up around here! My dh helps out a lot considering how much he works....however, that still does not make a dent.

I never realized how much I got done when I was home full-time until I started working!

It always seems like my Sunday is consumed by cleaning. We are usually just so busy on Saturday!

The kids are big enough that they help and dh does LOTS of housework. But it's all the unseen stuff that I do all day on Sunday. Prepping food, organizing paperwork, picking up clutter, grocery shopping, etc.

I think that after the holidays, I am going to hire someone to come in to do the deep cleaning. Dh and I keep up with the surface stuff very well but it would free up our weekend a lot to focus on the kids if we didn't have to do the deep cleaning.

Whenever I am out a lot during the week, yes. If I work from home I get less done but the house is cleaner. :roll:

As soon as I can possibly afford to I am going to hire someone to do the deep cleaning. But I feel like I can't until we are out of debt. Not long now, just paying off winter. :roll: Tires, clothing, getting our heater set up, that kind of thing.

I did invest in a dishwasher. It is like having a robotic scullery maid. I love it.

For us it depends on Saturday too. The busier the Saturday, the bigger the mess. Although, I'm noticing that whenever dh is home it seems to be messier :)
