Can anyone recommend any good photography books? I am reading Understanding Exposure right now and have read a few of Nick Kelsh's books. Now that I have my 30D, I really want to work on my photography skills. :)

what experience do you already have? (that may help us direct you)

Let's see...I have been taking pictures since I was a kid, like 10 or so. I have always loved photography, but have really only taken snapshots up til about 2 years ago and then I started working on portraits of my kids.

I just got a Canon 30D, before that I was shooting with an Olympus c5050. It was a point and shoot, but you could adjust aperture and shutter speed if you wished to do so.

I am really wanting to learn the technical aspects of it all, if that helps at all. :)

Cool! Do you want to do the exercises together? We could compare photos and discuss the exercises. There are 6 or so, from what I counted paging through the book. They're doing this at ILP but they started quite a while back and there are too many people involved imho. ;)

If you can't find it discounted locally (believe it's $25 or so at my Barnes and Noble) and want it for $16.47 plus free 2-day shipping or $2 overnight shipping, lmk and you can use my Amazon Prime account. :)

yes..that'd be great.

i am going to go to borders tomorrow and return a few books that i don't need and hopefully they will have it there...if not i'll pm you so that i can use your amazon account. that'd be great.
