*******************I have updated the swap forum and the feedback forum with the appropriate guidelines. Please check them out!! :D ********************
Okay, first off THANK YOU to Jo for setting up the feedback forum :D
It's going to be a great asset here in the sewing forum. I am still trying to decide on how to go about using the forum. My initial thought was to have it so that only moderators could update each person's feedback, tallying successful swaps, outstanding, drops, etc. I would like to do this, however I am wondering if that would be too hard on mods. It would be feasible if each hostess would agree to PM me with the details of the swaps as they close (or people drop, etc). I don't mind tallying and the work it would involve *if* I knew I had the support of all the hostesses and could rely on them to forward me the information about their swaps. I don't want it to be a forum where anyone can go in and complain about another swapper...I just want it to be very easy to see...so that when hostesses are taking sign ups they can check feedback *easily* to make sure those wanting to participate are in good swap standing rather than wading through a bunch of posts in a particular feedback thread.
So, I will be posting guidelines for hosting swaps, for participating in swaps, an 'outline' to follow on both counts. I will also be asking that *ALL* who wish to participate in the swaps read the guidelines once they are posted and 'sign' them by replying "I read it" to the post...then there are no excuses for not 'knowing' how the swap system will run.
I know this sounds very militant, and I hate that, but it truly will make for smoother happier swaps in the future...I really think so.
Thanks so much mamas, everyone is being really supportive with great suggestions and ideas, and I appreciate them all, the PMs have been great, you all make this board so so fun!!
It may take me the weekend to get this running, as I too have some swaps (craft) to finish up, some swaps to package (needlebooks :p), and orders to finish...but bear with me!
Thanks again Jo, for your help. As always you are so prompt and attentive to the needs of this board :D
