I just sewed up 2 pair of flannel pj bottoms/lounge pants. One for DH and one for DS. Both pair are having the same problem - which leads me to believe that I'm doing something wrong. One leg is much wider than the other leg. HELP!

sounds like you are sewing both fronts together and both backs together, then sewing the crotch.

I was wondering if I was doing that! So, on the pattern the width of the pant leg is narrower in the front and wider in the back?

The directions to this particular pattern are horrible! However, after about 4 tries, I finally got it! Here are pictures to show the pants that I made for Andy last night! :)

Glad you figured it out!! A lot of times I just ignore the pattern all together because it like a different language to me. Another reason I like to make my own patterns... LOL!

Thanks! Yeah - why do they have to make the patterns so difficult to understand? Or am I just extra dense? :lol:

so was it the "one leg out of both fronts" problem? That's so common, totally why I make 2 piece pants instead of 4 piece. Can't tell you how many times I've done that!

I had the same problem when I started out. Now I try to look really carefully at the markings - I always have 3 cuts in a row on the back legs to mark them, and 2 on the front legs. I'm glad you've figured them out - your DD looks so cute in them! :heart:

I am glad you figured it out! I too have been guilty of that! I like the patterns also that are just two pieces for the pants!
