I researched this for my pregnancy. Basically to eat it once a week is fine. But only buy the light tuna (NOT albicore, it says "light") and only packed in water.
If she likes to eat a LOT of it, I would see if canned chicken would work better. Salmon is good, and low in murcury, but it is also REALLY spendy. ;)

why is tuna packed in water better than in oil?
we buy the one in olive oil and I havenīt seen any info on it being bad anywhere (other than the mercury, that is)
