My co-workers rock. I was really happy with my job today. The pastry chef I work for is something of a mentor to me, and we have the best conversations. Some days we're analyzing our childhoods, other times we're just talking about movies. I even love my boss - he's totally respectful and appreciative of the work I do.
I thought, when I got this job, that restaurants are nice for drawing creative types, and it hasn't dissapointed at all. It's so cool to be surrounded by like- minds. I love talking, while listening to good music, and doing stuff like roasting organic mushrooms and baking flatbread.
Your turn, what do you like or love about your job? :)
I love working out. Being around people working out. I love talking about fitness and how its not just a state of body, but a state of mind. I love chatting with women about their days while they work out and helping keep them focused on their goals. I love getting out of the house a few nights a week too lol

Job #1- CAR Seat tech- I love that I am in charge of teaching all the new parents how to use their seats that day at the hospital. It is a nice break to get out of the house 3 days a week.
Job #2- I love that it is flexible enough that I can do the job almost ANYWHERE!

I love most of my cowokers too but my favorite thing is the fact that I get to work with people and help them feel better (hospital)
The biggest problem is it doesn't feed my creativity and that's bothering me more and more.

(hospital)

Dh works at a hospital (PTA tech) and feels similarly.
Mine feeds my creativity in a way, but I rarely have the energy once work and family are taken care of. For example, we have a band, but all of us are parents, and its all we can do to squeeze in an hour's practice every two weeks.

I love my boss - she freakin' rocks! I mean, she'll buy me coffee or lunch or just take me out to dinner whenever (I'm my own boss).
I like the freedom, I like the creativity, I like my office - my office, mine, all mine! I like having my own space to focus and work. I like using my brain in a different way than I do at home. And, I like earning my own money.

I feel successful with what I am doing at work. I can also start a project, and talk to other adults without a million "mom, I need this...."'s. I feel like I'm using my brian more, and I'm earning money doing it! woohoo!

but right now, my all time favorite thing about it is
the hours (8:30-11:30am M-Th).
I can give it my all while I'm doing it and then just have family time, etc when I am off duty.

I love being around different people all the time, and seeing my "friends" when they come into visit. My boss is the greatest - she's as crazy as I am, and takes great care of those she cares about. (I'm golden... she loves me. LoL)
But there's no way I'd put up with all the B.S if it weren't for the $$$.

I feel young at work. I wear cute trendy clothes and put make up on. I love making up drinks as I go. I love the fast pace on busy nights. I love the laid back atmosphere on a slow night.

is that I can be available for my kids, yet still pursue my career goals. I can be at their school for events and go to field trips, etc. because my schedule is so flexible.
I like the people I work with very much. They are a bunch of smart, somewhat geeky science people who like to have fun. Our office is very casual so I get to wear jeans everyday. I like editing a lot but I also really enjoy the interactive part of my job, I do some training (for the biologists on writing/formatting skills) and really enjoy that. I get to travel occasionally and I do like that too. It isn't too much and I get to see some remote, beautiful areas of our state.
Gee, I guess there is really a lot that I like about m

Job #1-Wellness consultant:
I loooove teaching people things they had no idea about. I love "converting" people to a healthier lifestyle. I also loove that I am getting my certifications as a childbirth educator, doula and breastfeeding educator. I am so passionate about these things and frankly, I'm a little addicted.
Job#2-Organic Fair Trade Coffee
I love that it's somthing my dh and I do together (for the most part) I love taking something that is so "mainstream" and educating people about how to make it healthier, not only for individuals, but for the planet and society as a whole.

The things I like about my job are:
1. Having a cup of coffee in peace and quiet
2. Getting an occasional trip to the bathroom without little ones crying and banging on the door!
LOL! Sad, but true!

Being in control. I love that. But it is also the worst thing too.

I love the group of kids that I get to work with and that it so small that I know everyone well.
It is a nice relaxed environment where I have lots of freedom.
I get to check in on my ds many times a day, I know and trust his teachers.
