So...does anyone want to sound off with how her new year is starting??

I decided to start with a traditional Waldorf form drawing block based on 'forms from nature'. I was inspired by Alan Whitehead's material to base this around the water cycle. So...we are doing Water Underground our first week...and we already went hiking in some nearby caverns.

I wrote a serial story about a prince and princess that going on a quest. They are traveling the same terrain that we are exploring around our home town...and in the story various people are telling the prince and princess Native American trickster tales.

I'm doing a lot of 'foot work' for our mail lesson. This week we are working with picking up marbles with our toes....standing up...with blindfolds...putting into baskets...anyway that we can explore these marbles with our feet.

The kids *love* my story...backing up Alan Whitehead's mantra that even a poorly crafted story written for specific children will top a master's tale that isn't specifically addressing the children.

So...our week is a smashing success so far:cuc:
