Welcome to the 2006 Holiday Swap! In order to participate, you must have been a member of this site for at least 6 months and have a minimum of 100 posts, with no unresolved negative feedback in the past 6 months. (note, 3 months membership by the mailing date with excellent feedback and required number of posts will be considered on a case by case basis)

If you would like to participate, please fill out the following questionnaire and EMAIL it to me at korwynne@mindspring.com (PLEASE put your user name in the subject line to help me out when I send you back the questionnaire of your recipient!) Sign ups will go until Friday, October 6th and matchups will be randomly done with the help of my children and a bowl. I will post, in this thread, the list of matches no later than Monday, October 9th. Your questionnaire will be sent to the person who will be sending to you directly, I will not be posting sensitive information to this thread. I’ve opted to have everyone email me rather than posting their questionnaire in order to protect everyone’s privacy.

The purpose of this swap is to bring some happiness to your swap partner during the busy holiday season. The minimum value for this swap is $25, but you may go over that amount if you choose. It is entirely up to you whether the package you make is just for your partner or for their children and/or significant other as well. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM your partner and ask.

Packages MUST be mailed no later than December 1st, and delivery confirmation (or other proof of mailing if you’re sending outside the US) is required. Insurance is recommended if appropriate.

what swap Barb?? that truly sucksthe local to your area swap back in late June was sposed to ship july 4th. Its the first time in 6 years i've not gotten a swap on amitys. She's been having medical problems I hear so I'm guessing she's not doing well. She pm'd in august that she was home from the hospital and packages were going out, but now its been over a month since then and 2.5 months since it was sposed to ship so I'm giving up.

Only reason I mentioned it is because in other threads I bowed out of swaps as dh and I agreed I'd not enter new ones til old ones were closed out - so my comment was more of a 'that never happened, but i don't care i'm doing this one anyway'.

I'm not complaining nic - just stating a fact. I am going to wait til someone hears back from her as I guess she is still sick and I'd feel horrible leaving neg fb over apackage when a mama is struggling with her health.

anyway, my whole point was not to start trouble but to explain why I'd bowed out of all these other swaps but agreed to do this one. I'm giving up and I want to be a part of this even if I never did get my last one.

just one, although I suppose if you want to break it up into smaller ones, you could do that too.. just need to meet the value by the mailing date :) I'd just stick a note in there about more coming or it being the final package or something.

Her dd made my chels an awesome pink/black scarf - chels adores it. The kids each got a Christian dvd (by the way mama, Hermie is awesome. The fruitcake movie has been watched repeatedly lol). and Dh got a great Christian tshirt - Peace on Earth...

Had my item shipped from Amazon on Nov. 30 so I could make the deadline and it didn't reach her town until I think it was the 13 or 14th! Then I got a message it was sent BACK to Amazon as undeliverable! I've NEVER had problems like this with them!
