Menopause brings about the cessation of protection of our vascular system.

The last I read, hormones aren't a for sure help to the heart as it seems to be for the bones.

So what are some of your heart healthy habits?

For me thus far it is eating veggies and excercise 3 times a week when I can.

I am also pretty busy with business at the moment so I am up and down all day running around my house and such, but I sometimes dont get in my workout.

Right now I eat low carb which some feel is a problem to the vascular system due to the fats contained therein. However I disagree after reading off and on the book Nourishing Traditions.

May I ask what it is that you disagree with in the Nourishing Traditions? I've been eating as low carb as possible, with a rare treat of bread here and there. From what I've understood about carbs, especially simple carbs, is that they increase the body's bad cholesterol and clogs the arteries. What do you understand?
