The Breastfeeding and Parenting Conference entitled "Celebrating
Support for Breastfeeding Families: La Leche League is 50!" will be
held November 11-13, 2006, in Eugene, Oregon, at the Eugene Hilton.

Special guests: Marian Tompson, one of La Leche League's Founders;
Lisa Marasco IBCLC, author of a forthcoming book on milk supply;
Kimber Pasquali, resource and web editor at Mothering magazine; Anne
Montgomery MD, IBCLC; and Cynthia Good Mojab, IBCLC. We will also
have several other local and regional presenters.

Saturday and Sunday will feature sessions of general interest to
families with young children as well as continuing education sessions
for health care professionals and paraprofessionals.

Sunday evening and Monday will be targeted to lactation
consultants,lactation educators, La Leche League Leaders, health care
professionals, and paraprofessionals, although anyone interested may
attend. To help everyone benefit more from the CE sessions, we will
be offering a "crying room" this year with piped-in session content.

We also hope to be able to include one-to-one breastfeeding help,
resource booths, poster sessions, and time for informal discussion
and networking. We will have our bookstore, exhibit area, children's
playroom, children's sessions, hospitality room, raffles, silent
auction, a babywearing fashion show, and an original musical production.
