can occur during one day at school. :rolleyes: I don't know how to deal with it, but it HAS TO STOP!! OMG! She's 13 and in 8th grade and as soon as she comes in the door, she's like "OMG! ....." ANd she proceeds to talk in a what must be a cryptic code because I can't figure out a single thing she's telling me. Oh, and today was only the third day of school. Please, how can I handle this situation? Do I even try to get her out of the drama? Or do I just learn to cope?

I know exactly what you mean! ROTFLMAO. I have two teen girls and oi! I hate to tell you that it doesn't get better for awhile. It actually gets worse if you can believe it. Just wait until there are boys and dating in the mix. :o :rolleyes: I have perfected my glazed over yet appearing attentive look.

Never a dull moment. lol. But seriously, it is when they stop talking that there is a problem. I like to comfort and asuage my insanity by reminding myself that they trust me to hear the days drama. :heart:

yeah, I have a 10th grader and she comes home every day with "oh, guess what!?!" and starts to tell me about all these people in her class who are SOOOOOOOO hysterical-but I don't get it :o

My son (8th grade) does this too, but it's usually about what happened on the bus.

My dd does this too. She is almost 14 and juat started highschool.
She comes home and says, did you know so and so did this and that and all the days drama at the school. I have no clue who she is even talking about. But to me,even if I dont get it at least she is talking to me lol.

my daughter is a junior and i spend alot of time telling her thats a "you had to be there" kinda joke sweetheart. lol

I actually had to pull Rachie out of public school at about 13/14 because she could not handle all the drama and she hit a rock bottom place.

That was the right thing for her. My ds has toughed it out.

You kinda gotta give them plenty of space and also have that keen ear thing going 24/7 as well as talk to them alot to keep them open.
