~just once I'd like to ask her to take out the trash and not have her roll her eyes or forget so I or dh have to do it anyway.

~Just once I'd like to find that she's already given her rat food and water without being asked

~just once I'd like to see her take out her trash in her room and under the bathroom sink without being reminded twice

~just once I'd like to see her offer to fold her clean clothes in the dryer

~just once I'd like to have her OFFER to watch her siblings so I don't have to drag them to the store in the 100 degree heat when she's just laying on her bed talking on the phone

~Just once I'd like her to smile and say yes when I ask her to do something for me.

~Just once I wish she'd talk to her siblings like we talk to them - and to her - with love vs with annoyance

~Just once it would be really nice for her to at least consider learning to ride the bus instead of expecting us to drive her everywhere all the time.

or God forbid she should actually study for and PASS the permit test so we could teach her to drive.

~Just once this month I'd like her to acknowledge the fact that until she gets the grade from Chemistry up from an F to at least a C that she will not be
a. getting a new job
b. going to the mall or out with friends
c. joining the music teen worship group at church
and that its her own fault, not us being mean.

~Just once in a while it would be nice if she'd do something with her brother and/or sister to play with them instead of constantly sulking cuz we're so mean to her.

and honestly? Just once in a while it would be really nice for her to recognize that we have feelings too and she hurts them quite often with her attitude.

My ds is 12 and it sounds like a day in our life <sigh> does that mean it will be worse when he is 16? He has always done great grade wise, last year we switched from catholic to public and boom his grades dropped. This year we have resorted to bribes (special trip with dh is May) and told him school is his job if he doesn't get good grades he doesn't get paid ie field trip that cost 75 there are two this year or other special outings that he would want to go on with friends or summer camp. Yesterday I asked four times to feed the dog, I got up and just shut off his computer I sooo felt like my Mom lol Hope this week was better for you guys!

my 15 y/o sucks. I know that's harsh, but I really feel that way!

*she is failing geometry, and I told her she needs to buckle down and work harder and she yelled at me! I didn't ground her, or raise my voice!

*she is in driving school and I have to rearrange my WHOLE day to get her there yet she is pissed when I pick her up because "she's starving!" and I am "10 minutes late!"

*chores >SNORT< yeah right!!!!!!

*her rabbit stinks and I told her that if she doesn't do it without me asking he has to go.

and the KITCHEN! Why can't she wipe down the **** counters?!?!?! It's not that hard!!!

Nope, not alone. Although my teen did just move out. My nephew lived w/ us from 14-18 and just moved out. I was tired of the roll eyes, the failing grades (only graduated from HS because I followed up on a lie w/ a teacher and he ended up getting a second chance), the lack of respect, lack of gratitude, etc. Don't you love how they can do all that and not hesitate to ask for (and completely feel entitled) something whenver they want it? Teenagers are a challenge! One of my friends says "bigger kids, bigger problems." I still love him, but what a pain sometimes! Hang in there.

I'll pity you now if you pity me later lol Abigale's teen yrs will be ending and the other two will just be starting. If we survive Abigale's though I'm sure we'll breeze through the other two. She already has a mouth and marches to her own drummer.

Okay, I better start knockin' on wood over here and hopefully I won't regret saying this..........

but my 15yo dd is a dream. :)

She actually likes cleaning, and her room looks pretty good.

She's quite good with a mop and vacuum, and the swiffer duster has nothing on her. ;)

Okay, so her little sisters annoy her, and sometimes she's short on patience with them, but she's the best big sister ever.

We homeschool, but I have a school handling her records for me; we just got her stuff back from last year - 3.25gpa and 7.5 credits in her Freshman year. :) She should have another 7.5 credits this year and even though we just started our year not too long ago, she's doing wonderfully. Okay, so there is that one writing assignment that has to be re-done, but that's it.

She's sitting next to me saying "Oh my God, mom, they're going to think I'm a nerd." Far from it. She's a riot, though, and lots of fun to hang out with. I'm afraid she's going to use this against me the next time I get upset with her.
