Yeah, I know this is supposed to be the last big hurrah of summer, but it's not summer-like here--below 75. I feel the cool breeze and I am excited for fall. Maybe it's more because, after a lot of thought, we have dropped the GF/CF diet. We have not seen any changes in 3 months' time, and we've reached a point where we're feeling that the stress of the diet is doing more harm than good for us. I'm feeling at last that this is not a mistake; we've given it a shot, and now it's time to find other ways to work with DS's issues. And, I am really feeling that not being on the diet will actually take some of the edge off. At least I know it will for me--I feel free!!! And, that leaves me better able to deal with DS. I don't think many people would label him as on the spectrum upon meeting him--he is extremely high functioning. Anyway, I reckon that's another post.

I'm ready for apples and pumpkins! I am looking forward to baking bread without overheating my house! And simmering a pot of soup all day on the stove!

Beautiful!

I understand what you mean. The moment September arrived, I felt like a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders for some reason. I just seem to function best during autumn. I am thrilled about it's impending arrival, and am itching to pull out all the warm blankets, start our fall baking and finally turn off the a/c unit for good for a few months. I'm not looking forward to what I know is going to be a really high gas bill again this year, but I'm anxious to see just how low I can keep it.

Another autumn lover here. As the weather gets cooler and the days are a normal length I feel rejuvinated. Completely functional. Right now I am using the last of the apples to make organic sugar free applesauce for the baby for next summer. lol... Planning ahead and enjoying it. This summer has been long enough to really feel like we had one (last year we had maybe 4 wks of over 70* weather... that just wasn't enough) and the fall is a welcome blessing. Tomatos are doing the last of their ripening, apples are falling in bushels off of the trees, leaves are starting to dot our lawn and garden.

Beautiful.

I am an autumn lover too. I just feel *different* when I can smell the change in the air, feel the slight difference in the breeze, notice the shift in the light. I know it is still warm weather, but something just changes and I KNOW it is coming.

I cannot wait for pumpkins, and apples, baking, and slow cookers, walks (without sweating and bugs), open windows, changing leaves. MMMMMMMMMMM.

Count me into the autumn lovers! My creativity came to life when the weather cooled recently. I feel so happy this time of year:)
